Billy Currington

About 2 weeks ago I got word that Billy Currington was going to do a Free concert downtown the morning of his big show with Carrie Underwood. I was excited because a.) it's free b.) it's close c.) it's Billy Currington!! I love him. (Me and the hubs had our first dance to one of his songs.) Well much to my demise I was given an appointment that would keep me from being able to go....I was super bummed but hey, gotta make that skrilla :) So, I go to my appointment, knock....ring doorbell....call the customer.....wait for a bit.....nothing.I decide to leave and get in my car and hear that Billy is still downtown so I decide to zoom over and catch what is left of the concert. YAY! I quickly parked and walked over to the mini stage and caught the last four songs. I will say he sounds perfect live! Nothing worse than hearing one of your fave artits live and then being severely let down by their inability to perform like their cd's portray them. He was great, very sweet, humble and enjoying his time here in Houston. Anywho, just something fun I was able to cram into the schedule on a random Wednesday afternoon.
