I still have no working computer of my own and it frustrates me.
I would love to blog about everything that we have been up to but as most of you know I am much better at explaining and describing our adventures via pictures. SO, with no pictures to help me along I find it quite difficult to blog. Odd, I know, just add it to the list of my quirks. I seriously have 996 pictures sitting on my camera BEGGING me to put them up and out on display and it bothers me that I have no where to put them; which in turn doesn't make me want to take more pictures because I know I have nowhere to put them. This is bad.....Especially with all of the new, fun things coming our way like the loss of my flat tummy. (Carrie, I am envious of your FABULOUS maternity photos) I want some. :)
Ok, ok...enough of the whinning. I know.
ANYWAY, I will now try to quickly and in some bit of detail catch you all up on what is going down in the Gray household. Again, I apologize for the lack of good grammer, synonyms and the over use of commas.....I love those things!
**first things first, remember way back when like a month ago how we had a HUGE roadtrip planned and we couldn't wait for it. Well, it was AMAZING!! We took 5 days to get to San Diego, spent 3 in S.D. and then drove back to Houston in 2 days. It was fun, beautiful, eventful and we enjoyed every minute of it. We saw:: Carlsbad Caverns, The painted Dessert, The Petrified Forrest, The Grand Canyon, A friend in Pheonix, Almost all 50 states in license plates (just missed the dakota's, hawaii and a few new england ones), Coronado Beach, The Marine Corps base and the Navy Seal base, La Jolla, The continental Divide and enjoyed Many activities like horse back rides, helicopter rides, a gun show, a little bit of outlaw dress up, kayaking next to some sea lions, shopping, eating, celebrating Christa's bday and catching up.( This trip is about 500 of the photos)
**My current place of biz shit down so I found a new gig to tide me over.
**Enjoyed another trip, this time to Evanston, Wyoming to see the Aaneruds. We had a blast and of course this 4th of July is the one to beat. We took another million pictures up there also. Ok, only about 350. My nieces and nephews are just the cutest and photograph pretty darn well. :)
**We are still looking for an apartment or town house that will suit 3 humans and 2 50 lb pups within our budget. It has proved to be a minor challenge. It hink it is because I keep thinking about the little one and how it will suit us as a family. It is odd the new persepective on EVERYTHING you get as a mom.
**We spilled the beans on the little bean we are expecting and have been loving every minute of it. Justin likes to talk to my tummy even though I doubt the baby can quite hear him yet. I am the worst about reading up on what the baby is doing, the size and development of it. I kind of just assume everything is fine and dandy until something happens. We will find out the sex on Aug. 6th and we are counting down the days! I have been so blessed with a pretty easy pregnancy so far. No real sickness, back pains, headaches, cravings, swelling or much of anything. I feel guilty for having it so "easy" right now because I know a few of you out there are struggling with some of the not so fun things listed above. I am about 15 weeks and still haven't felt any movement, i am hoping that just means this will be one chill baby. heh, yeah right. Soon I hope to feel some kicks. I have just barely started to show and I say that only because I have had several people ask me how far along I am. Which I find surprising and it catches me off gaurd cause I would NEVER ask a woman that unless it was completely obvious or if she was giving birth (as my mom would say ;). I haven't had to move to maternity anything yet but I do already miss my flat tummy. I thought it was going to be more fun growing big but right now, since I am just barely showing, I just feel chubbs. I have lots more to post about the baby stuff but really it should get it's own blog spot, so I will just continue to journal, like the old days, and then fill in as necessary. I will say that I literally only have 2 pics of a belly shot. tisk, tisk, I know. One is 8 weeks and one is 14 weeks. Maybe I will get motivated to gussy myself up and head out with the camera soon. Maybe.
**The wedding. We are full steam ahead on all of it. I can't wait for it. So far we have picked out the colors, what the bridesmaids are wearing, my dress, the guys' outfits, bought some vases and candles, going to borrow more vases and candles, reserved a date and place, priced out flowers, rental items, and the cake, which I have already picked out, along with the veil, shoes, "dj" and food. Not EVERYTHING is final but pretty much the basic groundwork has been laid and it is kind of just the waiting game for the rest. Whew.
**Justin and I enjoyed an afternoon at the circus. It was fabulous! It definitely gave us a taste of what to expect in the future (as far as entertainment) for us "parents to be." It was kinda cheesy but there were some acts that were pretty thrilling and fun.
I think that generally wraps up what we have been busy doing. I am sure that I am excluding some things....I seem to be more scatterbrained than usual. Hopefully a computer will soon grace us with it's presence (and permance) and then in pictures I can tell you about our adventures. I know this has been kinda boring for you all. I apologize. Thanks for stopping by.

I agree with the never asking a woman how far along she is. I remember the first time someone asked me and I was thinking 'wow, you're brave' because I was barely showing! It totally caught me off guard too. I also remember before I was pregnant hearing friends and family complain at how fat and big they were getting and it always kind of annoyed me because I was like, duh, you're pregnant. But then I was the same way when I was pregnant! Its just hard to see your body change.
ReplyDeleteHope you get a computer soon so we can see some 'a those pics!
Aw so glad you updated all of us, I can tell you are busy busy! I can't wait to find out the sex- that will be so fun for yall to announce! :D
ReplyDeleteHoly cow! Just reading about all your stuff is wearing me out! I can't wait for more updates...but I guess I'll have to!
ReplyDelete1) i totally understand your frustration with not having a place to put pictures. our internet hasn't been working well for weeks and i'm DYING because my pictures are piling up. i'm backed up by MONTHS now, and it makes me sad to know all of those pictures and stories will go to waste because i can't possibly get them all onto the blog when the internet starts working better
ReplyDelete2) don't feel bad. i have i think ONE picture from each of my first two pregnancies. that's why this one is so fun for me. i've never done the weekly photo thing and i'm excited to have pics to share with baby when she gets older
3) that's so funny that people ask how far along you are. my rule is NEVER ask, even when they're REALLY showing. you just never know. the only time i think it's okay is when you've heard it from their mouth.
4) 'showing' will get more fun when you actually LOOK pregnant. in the beginning you just feel fat, but when you have a big tummy to show off, it all seems more real
okay, enough from me. good luck with everything. can't wait to eventually see some pics. and hear what you're having!!
Danielle! You are a busy girl. I found your blog on FB and it's good to see you writing again. You look so happy and I'm just thrilled for all the upcoming events! Wedding! Baby! Awesome. :)
