Colton R. Gray

I said before that I would post pics from our little photo shoot and as promised here they are. I literally took about 200 pics so I just downloaded a few. I don't want to be THAT annoying with all the baby pics. Haha. Enjoy!

The first pic I took....Loves stickin out his tongue!
This blanket was made for him by a lady we go to church with...I just LOVE it! I think it is beautiful AND I just love handmade things. Thanks Robin!
I LoVe baby yawns!
and baby feetsies
Since he has figured out how to cross his eyes he enjoys it...cracks me up!
again with the tongue

him sleeping lasted long enough for this ONE picture, he is such a light sleeper during the day!
not sure why this is upside down.

His pouty face...about to start crying. One of my favorite faces he makes! It makes me laugh EVERYtime!!

getting irritated with me, ha.

I sure love this bug!!

A whole new world

I have continued with placing Colton in a "new world" and taking pictures. We sometimes get a little bored in the house and want to travel somewhere different so we recreate those places. Yes, I realize I may have too much time on my hands but when all the household chores are done why not have a little fun, right?!

Here are a couple more....and don't worry I have a list of more ideas brewin'

This is the original....I was not satisfied so I changed it a bit.

How cute is this chubby chef?!?!
I cannot figure out why it is downloading sideways...

Spittin' Image

Debbie found a brag book that her mother used to carry around with pictures of Justin in it and it is just amazing how much Colton looks like his dad. I mean, don't get me wrong we already thought that from day one but then when you see J's baby pics it is pretty ridiculous how much they resemble each other. Here are a few pics of J as a baby/toddler.

I think it is this pic that shows the similarities the best

Happy Birthday Love

On March 13 Justin turned 29! What an old man. Haha, just kidding. I am only a few years behind him so I really can't joke about it. Babe had to work on his bday, boo! But it gave me a chance to run to the store and pick him something up and whip up a cake and dinner. Bug and I got him the movie Due Date (which is actually pretty funny) and a card. I baked him a white cake with chocolate frosting but I snuck some white frosting and sprinkles in between the layers. YUMM-O! I was impressed with my culinary skills since they do not get exercised very often. And for dinner we had tacos, not the sexiest birthday dinner by any means but it was delish! And the queso I made was also pretty legit! Kelly, you would be proud! haha. So we stuffed ourselves full with dinner, lit the candles on the cake...I sang happy birthday to J and he blew out the candles (bug was already in bed) and then we watched the movie. All in all a pretty good birthday I think. Justin says thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes and cards and gifts...you are all very thoughtful and kind to think of him on his special day.

Houston Rodeo

A friend I used to work with called me up and said she had 4 extra tickets to the Houston Rodeo and asked if I would like them. For those of you who are not familiar with the Houston Rodeo, it is kind of a big deal. When I moved here (almost 10 years ago!!) I had no idea what all the fuss was about and then I was informed that the rodeo is just the beginning of the madness. After the bull riding and barrel racing there is a concert put on in the middle of the arena. It is not a full blown 2 hour show but still a good concert nonetheless. AND the world's biggest artists come to play.....Janet Jackson, Brooks and Dunn, Alan Jackson, Beyonce, Kiss, Kid Rock, to name a few. Our tickets were for Rascal Flats and I was pretty excited because 1.) I had never heard them live before, 2.)It was a chance for me and J to have a FREE date night while Nana and Popo watched C 3.) Our tickets were for the 4th ROW! sweet!! 4.) And of course a chance to watch the world's best cowboys ride buckin' broncos and gnarly bulls! The rodeo was a blast, we had LOTS of fun and Rascal Flatts were amazing. They sound just like their cd's (a rarity these days) and I just love their harmonies. They put on a great show. We decided to forgo the gigantic carnival and head home to pic up our little man. It was a great evening and I am so happy me and J were able to have some "us" time!

It's a Bird, It's a Plane....

So I received an e-mail from my mom a while back where a woman had dressed up her little girl and put her in different "scenes" while she was sleeping. We all know I LOVE photography so I decided I would try and do my own little scenes. I wish I would have been creative enough to come up with the idea on my own but alas I am not. So I do not claim the originality of the idea but I am trying to not copy the pics I had seen from her, after all where is the creativity in that?! I find it fun and entertaining but I am not sure how Colton takes it...usually he is pretty happy while I mess with him. AND shockingly enough it really only takes me a moments time to get everything setup. Don't worry there will be more to come :)

SUPERMAN!!

Little Justin

Everyone jokes that Colton looks exactly like Justin....what's funny is that it is soooo true! I swear he is my son and came from my body but he hardly resembles me. What is even more entertaining is that Debbie (J's mom) found some of Justin's old outfits he had when he was a baby so of course I put Colt in them and snapped a few photos.....talk about a mini me.
