Thoughts in my head...yes, random and possibly redundant. I apologize.
So here we are approaching the end of this pregnancy and it is so weird to think that the little C-man himself could make his appearance anyday...if he so chose. I don't have a current pic but I don't think I have gotten much bigger...my weight has stayed the same the last 3 weeks at the doctor. However, my tummy has certainly dropped, looks like I have a basketball for a belly. I am feeling good a little more tired, anxious, nervous than usual but I think that is because D-day is so close. Heartburn, of all things has made more frequent appearances which, well, burns. Still getting some legs cramps in the middle of the night and waddling around more than usual along with a much slower paced walk. All in all, not too miserable and feeling ok. I just wish I could sleep for 8 hours straight one more time before colton comes. Hahaha, yeah, right. Right?! Oh well, I can dream. (no pun intended)
A HUGE THANK YOU to my parents and Justin's parents and friends Jared and Milam for helping us move!!! Seriously....LIFE SAVERS!
We finally moved into our new place and I must say I JUST. LOVE. IT! It is HUGE and we feel spoiled by all of the space. My parents gave us their old couch, which is VERY much appreciated. You have no idea how nice it is to go from a 2 cushion loveseat to a sectional with a sleeper sofa and 2 recliners! So nice! This couch reminds me of home so much that I will often walk into the living room and see the couch and think for a second, I AM back at home in their living room. I actually find it somewhat comforting (never hurts to have bits of home with you!). We were also given a kitchen table and chairs from a friend of Justin's family. They were also moving and getting all new furniture so they generously gave us their kitchen set. Again, it is so nice to actually have a chair and table to sit down and eat at...instead of that little loveseat. Man oh man are we in heaven! Oh and the dogs of course are in hog heaven. We have a patio they get to people watch on and so much space for them to wander. They had a little rough patch in changing homes but all seems to be well now.
What I must say is the MOST exciting part of it all is that we finally got to start on Colton's room! As you all know I have been dying to get in there and get things settled and it is coming along quite nicely! I am finishing up all of his laundry today (holy cow, he has more than J and I combined!) and getting all of that folded and put away. We have pictures hung, the crib and changing table assembled (thanks mom and dad!!) the baby monitors are charged and ready to go and all of his toys have been washed as well. I will have pictures soon but I don't want to post anything until everything is just perfect. But I will say we are going with a (non-tacky) Texas/cowboy theme for the room. All of the furniture is chocolate brown and we have a few horsey, texas star stuff strung about the room. Man, I can't wait to finally meet this little prince!
We also had our last baby shower a couple weeks ago and it was fabulous!! My mother- in-law Debbie, Aunt Barbara (and the girls), Aunt Marie and Aunt Kathy and Stephanie hosted it for us and we had a great time! The food was awesome, the games were fun and I think Justin even enjoyed himself. Yes, I made J boy come with. :) I think he secretly loves all of this stuff. It was so nice to see all of the family and some friends as well. Life as we know is about to become a little chaotic so I am glad we were able to indulge a little before Colton arrives.
That is currently all of the exciting news that we have for now. We go back to the Dr. on thursday for a check up so we shall see what is new after that!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!!!! I hope everyone travels safely and gets to where they are going safely...especially all of those with the white stuff they call snow? haha. we are sunny and 80 degrees here today. :( anyway...merry christmas, enjoy the time with your families and freinds!

That's so fun to have your couches from home. Parents and friends are seriously lifesavers when it comes to things like that. I can't wait to see pics of you home and of course Colton's room!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are all settled in the new place. That makes things so much less stressful I'm sure. I remember moving just a month before Will was born. I thought I would have a nervous breakdown because I needed everything to be perfect before he arrived. I remember that so clearly. I thought my house would never be in order again. I was one crazy preggo girl! So good luck with everything and I hope Colton makes his debut before Jan 1! For that all important tax break, you know! Hahahahaha ;)
