As for me, the pups and Justin...we will be relaxing out in the country with J's parents.

ROADTRIP

In 2 weeks Justin and I will be making a semi cross-country roadtip to San Diego California. We couldn't be more excited! We will be visiting Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, The Grand Canyon and Cadillac Ranch...other than that we aren't sure what there is to see on our way out there. Do you have any suggestions? We are taking our time getting there and coming back so if you have a favorite spot that we may like to visit PLEASE share!
In california we are visiting my dear friend Christa, who will be turning 24 while we are out there! I am so excited to see her and to be able to celebrate her bday together. I know for sure that while we are out there we will be visiting the beach (a lot) AND the San Diego Zoo. We MAY also visit disneyland too, I just can't wait to see her and catch up and to see beautiful california again! Love ya Curt, see ya in 2!!!

old friends, new stories

My good friend Tiffany came in town from South Carolina to visit some friends and family, luckily I made the cut! I haven't seen her since her baby shower last summer so it was so fun to see her and her newest little addition Kaitlyn. (I didn't get any photos of us this time but these are from her baby shower). He had lots of fun talking and catching up on family news and our own news. Glad I got to see her even if it was just for lunch!

quarter of a century

I turned 25 earlier this month and I finally feel like a real adult, it's weird.

We had a little pre-birthday celebration at Tia Maria's one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. Justin secretly told the waiter it was my birthday and after I returned to the table they slapped this sombrero on my head and started singing Happy Birthday....I was shocked, but happy.

I think he is so handsome!

HE also got me a FABULOUS gift. I had been admiring THIS purse for months and he surprised me with it, at work no less.

and he threw in a wallet to boot! He's the best!

And HE got tickets to a concert called Buzzfest, (It's like Dallas' edgefest) About 10 bands come and perform all throughout the day. It was an AWESOME birthday! Thanks LOVE!

Justin's parents also got me lots of beautiful jewelry and some COMFY socks! Thanks Debbie and Jimmy!

I also got several cards, moolah, a GREAT book and giftcards! Thank you everyone for the thoughtful gifts! I had a great birthday!

I'm Baaaccckkk!!

SO.... after about a 9 month hiatus from blogging I have decided it's time to start a new blog! YAY! I am excited and have LOTS and LOTS to catch you all up on. I am not quite sure how/where to start so please be patient with me.

(I won't be going through all the dramatics of the divorce and friend battles I had during this time off because I am simply over that part of my life and now see it as something that needed to happen in order for me to make myself and my life happier....something of a blessing in disguise.)

I don't have many pics of everything because I was without a camera for quite some time....which stinks cause that is pretty much how I remember and chronicle my life....turns out my memory is slipping more and more. haha. BUT here is what I have....

I don't have pictures but in November, Christa and I ran the San Antonio Rock 'n' Roll half marathon together. I was aiming for 2:00 hrs. and did it in 2:08. I was pleased. We had lots of fun just hangin out with her family and friends and playing around on the river walk. Good times!

::December::

Took a trip with my good friend Katie to Colorado to see her friend, I just tagged along. It was a beautiful and quite memorable vacation....so much fun that I almost moved to Colorado with her! Seriously.

Made a couple trips to New Orleans with my good friend Katie to participate in Mardi Gras and Endymion.

I also got a new puppy in February. It is actually Justin's dog but I am keeping her at my house so Sawyer has a buddy to play with. She is still a small puppy so she can be quite a handfull at times but she is just the cutest little pup!

::MARCH::
My little brother returned home after serving his 2 year mission in Canada for the church. It was great to finally have him home and spend some family time together.

Also, in march we lost our Grandma Aanerud so we made a trip up to Utah and Wyoming to be with the rest of the Aanerud clan and so take care of Grandma A. We miss her a lot and have many, many great memories of her and her home up on that hill in WY. Despite the circumstances it was still so great to have some more family time!

March was also Justin's 28th birthday which we celebrated here in Houston when I returned from Wyoming. He got a new pair of cowboy boots, band of brothers dvd and a shirt to match his boots. unfortunately, no pictures.

Now that this post is the LONGEST post ever I will come to an end. I have had an eventful past several months and have even more fun things planned in the upcoming months. I will be roadtrippin' it to California to visit Christa who has just made a cross-country move to San Diego! And also visiting Wyoming again in July for some epic firework fun! So, now that you are updated please keep visiting because I plan on updating :) Glad to be back!
